1st — qualifying round— participants improvise to unknown piece of music together. 8 best participants are allowed to next round.
2nd round — participants compete in pairs. Participants improvise one by one to balady and drum solo music. 4 best participants are allowed to the next round.
3rd round — participants compete in pairs. Participants improvise one by one to khaligi and classical song music. 2 best participants are allowed to the next round.
Final — participants improvise one by one to unknown piece of music (by band's choice).

There is only one winner in each age category.
Nomination is held with minimum 8 participants.
